Strange message on my fiat...?

Turned the engine off today after driving about 40mins and I noticed the info screen said

Follow me
30s

And the lights on indicator was showing my lights where on when they weren’t...?

It went off after 10sec

Sounds to me that you have set the ‘follow me’ light setting that puts on the headlights for a while after leaving the vehicle

It’s a delayed lights off so that you can get to your house door with lights showing the way. Didn’t know Ducatos had them?

It's the Gremlins, Ducato doesn''t have that feature but the chip in the cluster may be used in other vehicles that do.

On a Fiat 500, if you knock the headlamp stalk forward towards you within 2 minutes of turning off engine you will get the follow me feature.
Maybe there’s a 500 under your dashboard

To Deactivate feature pull stalk towards you and hold for 2 seconds.

Mine does. Pull the main beam stalk back within 2 minutes of switching off the ignition to activate. Successive pulls of the stalk lengthen the amount of time that the lights remain on then cycle back to off. It's explained in the handbook.

My Land rover does it too. The lights stay on for a preset time after turning off to see you to your door. It is rarely useful as you are often facing the wrong way or it switches off when you're half Way across a dark pub carpark just before you trip in a pothole.
