Hi... so when we empty the waste via bucket it’s about 3.5 buckets worth. However recently the water in the sink has been backing up... so empty the waste and only getting about 2 buckets out... have put down vanish powder and some finish tablets... we have a Rimor Europeo NG5 which doesn’t have detachable waste container or no way of getting in... our next step will be to take pipes off under sink... but it’s strange how the water drains away up till approx 2 buckets no problem. Any ideas welcome. Thanks ?

Had a similar problem, the pipe from the sink was blocked where it met the tank, as the tank inlet was smaller than the waste pipe, try taking the pipe off at the tank, you may get a whole load of waste out shaped like pellets. I did but it cured the problem.

Thanks will take the pipe off from sink first and see if that solves it...

Jim is that normal sink unblocker solution or is it one for MH’s? Thanks

be careful with commercially available sink unblockers. The pipework in motorhomes is much smaller bore and push fit. the only proper cure is strip the pipes out and flush through with mains water pressure, then reassemble

Try leaving the tank about 25% full before taking the moho for a decent drive around some winding roads to stir up the gunge and drain it as soon as stationary.
I usually put approximately 20 litres fresh water in the waste tank when leaving site and empty as soon as I get home.

Try a big straw
push it down the waste pipe
Then start sucking at the same time your good lady shoves a large carrot up your nether regions.

The resulting vacuum should clear the
blockage or split the waste tank

Suggest you don't use a plunger. The pipes are usually only a push fit and you'll likely push one off in the most inaccessible place in the van.

When our waste pipes froze during our winter trip I found a sort of junction box under the van before the pipe enters the tank. It was just a twist fit and was full of gunge - as well as ice!

and carrots
bit like being ill after a nights drinking

you could try full fat (sugar) coca cola, copy cat brands may work too.
We used that to unblock children's feeding tubes, worked a treat. also try rodding the exit pipe theree might be gunge jamming that up once a small amount has drained out.

Thanks Sue, that looks like the cheapest solution... will give it a go tomorrow when we move site. Thanks all
