Hi All,

I'm new to the forum so be nice :)

Recently moved to Ilkley and am struggling to find storage for my MH close by.
We had a storage place walking distance at our last home and that was really convenient.

Best I can find near Ilkley is Coney Park (up on't moors, by t'airport). But that's a good 25 minute drive.
Does anyone know anywhere closer?

Thanks,
Lance.

Hi Lance,
We're in Ilkley, too, and there aren't too many options since Safe Hands sold their storage plot on Coutances Way to make way for a new garden centre.
I believe there's a farm on Addingham Moorside that stores campers but the road in is very tight. After that, there's a place near Wilsden, south of Bingley but it's hardly convenient.
I think there are farmers' barns north of the Wharfe but when I've enquired they've been full. We resorted to a Kingfisher secure site north of Knareborough which was secure, well managed but an hour away.
Even Coney Park had a waiting list when I enquired.

There is a farm up on Silsden Moor that has storage. Dalesway? Not sure of name. Also at the end of the bypass going into Keighley from Silsden - same location as Caravan Dan the mobile repair service.

Tried to move last year did go as could not find a house with the required drive, estate agent said I was too fussy . So kept what I have good luck, a colleague chatted up a neighbour and parked it on their drive may be worth asking about. How big is your van?

Lance,
Just been searching for map man's suggestion on Google Maps satellite view and it's worth a look because you can spot all the farms doing caravan storage so easily. They stand out like dragons teeth!

Hi All,

Thanks for the suggestions. The campsite at Addingham Moor are taking it.
The Wilsden suggestion was almost OK except we just moved from there :)

Is that Ghyll House campsite on Moorside Lane? Do they still have capacity?
