As anyone been stopped in Europe in your motorhome by police and been weighed.
If so what happened, fine empty your van.
Thank you.

We were weighed on the N21 in France south of Limoges. All motorhomes being checked, 2 pads, added the front and back weight. If over what your documents stated, pulled to one side. We were well under, just sent on our way. No discussion on accuracy or allowance, simple go or no go.

I was pulled in on the A23 south of Zaragoza in Feb 2015 in my then new Bailey Motorhome , I had a weighbridge ticket from the day we left the UK at 3490kg
The Traffico directed me of the carriageway and up to a truckstop at junction 176 and over a portable weighbridge checking my gross , rear and front axle weight .
They asked me to pop the bonnet to look at the VIN plate under the bonnet and I showed them the weight plate stuck on the inside door by Bailey .
had a general look over the tyres asked me where I was going and sent me on my way .

Also wonder if anybody has been involved in in an accident with their motorhome where a 3rd party was involved were they weighed as part of the accident investigation?
If so would it impact on any prosecution, insurance if it were found to be over the plated weight?

I got quite friendly with a Belgian motorhomer who was also a traffic cop.

He told me they used to take great pleasure in pulling over all the overweight Dutch vans on their way to France and Spain because they knew being Dutch they would bring all their food and drink for the whole holiday with them and would definitely be overweight.

Did they just weigh you as a whole, or did they weigh your front a rear axles ?
They weighed both axles which calculated the total weight
They (the police) we’re very thorough. They checked our V5 and my driving license
