Pitched up today for a 1 night stopover.

Very clean and tidy, showers, drying room. Good flat hard standing pitches. 24hr access.

Not cheap at £32 but a lovely village to wander around.

Highly recommend.

Are you on the Queen Elizabeth site, sounds a tad expensive even for a C&MC site.

Yes. BTW that’s nonmembers price.
It’s an expensive part of the world Will.

Just up the road into town along the front is a fantastic chip shop.

The home of the "Deep Fried Mars-bar".(y) AND the place where I bought my First (and only) wining Lottery ticket circa 1995. (£ 96-00)

Agree though, nice site in nice town.

The museum at the harbour worth a visit if you've time for a blether, small but packed with allsorts.

Yes, it’s a great site and a lovely town. Walk along the shore front to the harbour on the boardwalk is very pleasant, great fish restaurant, the Tollbooth and the Ship Inn is great for a beer!
Enjoy your visit!

Same here in April. Thanks for the tourist tips. Mike

The Marine on the Harbour front, used to have a dinning room on the upper floor, with great views and REAL ale. My Son lived in Stonehaven for 3 years when Working in Aberdeen. We took the first R-V up and stayed on that site before the CC took it over. (The "outlaws" where staying in the house with them:cry:). Bit scruffy back then, but less than£10p/n if I remember.

Too close for us for Moho use but enjoyable as a day out. Train from ABZ, few beers and food around the Harbour, job done(y)

Booked for next week. Great site and as others have said great chip shop and ice cream parlour. Remember and wrap up if you pop up for fish and chips as there is always a queue.
This site is great for us to visit my parents in Cults, used to stay at Lower Deeside but things are noisy and busy at the moment with the bypass works.

Within walking distance is Dunnottar Castle, well worth a visit then finish the afternoon with a drink outside The Marine Hotel overlooking the harbour, quality.

They used to claim the pneumatic tyre was invented there.
