They are new drivers. Supposed to observe a lower speed limit. Theoretically, from your observations. :)

A Woosh bang
Same as P in the UK

A green P plate on a vehicle means that the person driving has only recently passed their test. Extra consideration should be given to cars displaying a P plate.

Well.... the last one went past us on the off ramp and when preceded to hit the next car up the arse on the roundabout. Speaking of roundabouts, the next a car observed on the roundabout doing 120 lol and had the audacity to beep us being on roundabout already.

A = Amateur. Just passed their test
Much as I like idea of someone who drives for the love of it, it stands for “apprenti”. But yes, as you correctly state, it’s someone who has recently obtained a full driving licence, where “recently” means within the last 2 or 3 years.

Newly qualified drivers in the U.K. can put a green P on their cars.
Any guesses what that stands for........
And in NI, you have to display an R plate on your car for a year after passing your test.

We understand the green P and most drive like it as they would and now we understand the A plate means. Thank you.......

16 years since restarting
Here in Spain it is required for 2 years with the lower limit for the first year .
How anyone knows what limit the driver is following is anybodies guess. Additionally if the car is a parents & shared by the 'new' driver it's anyone's guess who is driving unless they are stopped by trafíco.

Reminds me of a couple of years back in Kent & on the inside lane but unable to move over at a slipway 'on' & even me slowing the "P" plated car on the slip road still kept going & running out of road continued straight along the hard shoulder !!!!

I suppose they have never been taught how to enter a Mway ?:(

That’s the idea in theory

In practice it also makes them a target for the sort of arsehole that thinks it’s funny or clever to try and bully learners.

We would never bully any driver on roads any where in this world as we are professional drivers in UK, We drive for a living.
