Hi guys,
Looks like I have to do a training course over a period of four weeks or so near London Heathrow airport.
Too long, and too expensive to stay in a hotel.
I thought a nice quiet place to stay with the van would be better.
Any ideas on campsites or farms or places with the usual water facilities anyone could recommend ?

Did I mention it has to be quiet ? 😉

Thanks in advance.

Chertsey C&CC site. There’s also an independent site on the Laleham side of the Thames. A few back roads towards Heathrow via Stanwell to avoid the M25. There is also a site in Lyme village Chertsey Caravan Park that I know gets used by contractor types for longer stays

Thank you, plenty to go on !

Chertsey is a nice site by the Thames.

1/2 decent pub across the river but expensive.

But quiet - not sure anywhere near Heathrow is that :giggle:

The words "Quiet" and "Heathrow" do not live in the same sentence !

However depending on exactly where your course is based, Heathrow does have world class public travel options, so you could look at places a few stops down the line of the tube, the train, the bus, etc

Since the demise of Concorde & the V.C.10, it's a lot quieter :giggle:
Now it's road noise generated by the M25.

Since there isn’t much stuff flying at the moment it’s not so bad. Chertsey side planes are already up a bit so not too much. Background traffic from M25 might be more notable at that Lyne site. Couldn’t say about flight paths for the Iver site. I’m sure there are maps somewhere as a guide.
