On return from my contribution to keeping the wheels of industry turning today , delivering a camper for conversion, I traveled down the A249 from Detling to the Stockbury/Sittingbourne junction on the M2. There was queue of at least a mile of traffic trying to join the coast bound M2. Luckily I was heading the other way on the Westbound route towards Rainham. Traffic was stationary coast bound , as I exited at J4 three miles later it was still stationary towards London as far as the eye could see!! If they are ok to go to the beach and risk infection they should be at school or dare I say it work if there is any out there!
I had seen an old mate from my breakdown and recovery days . He said he had never seen so much traffic heading to the coast. He is an AA agent and reckons they had over 70 breakdown calls from broken down motorists trying to get home last night. Some were still there this morning!
You will have seen the pics of the idiots on the south coast beaches today.
Staycation in U.K. Don’t think so!

They said on the local radio that the queue to Junction 5 (A249 turn off) coast bound was 12 miles long. That was about 11 this morning.

At least you have been out and about with your job. I really feel for those NHS workers and others with inside jobs and wonder what they must feel when they see those pictures.
