Sorry I tried to post this in u shaped lounge ,but i couldnt find it, my question is ,can you have your state pension paid weekly,?
hubby is due to be 66 in december, and we were discussing how he would like to be paid, and it seems you have to have it monthly ,and its paid in arrears, after waiting an extra 12 months hes pretty eager to get it ,so was just wondering 😬? Cheers pampam🤗

Yes, but the weekly option isn't offered when you claim online, but DWP will oblige if you phone them.
Choose the 'phone claim' option when you ring - even if you have already claimed online.

Mine is every Monday, wife’s is every four weeks.

I get mine weekly on Monday(and earlier if there is a Bank Holiday).

I first claimed my 6-year-deferred pension 8 years ago, so the rules may have changed since then.

I now clock for £265 every Monday and I am well past the break-even point on the loss of the deferred part, so it is profits all the way from here - one of the best decisions I made. If I had got it wrong and died earlier would I have worried? I was lucky to defer when it gained 10.4% p.a., now dropped to 5?%

Martin gets his every 4 weeks but the first payment was for 3 weeks and 3 weeks after his birthday.

If you are entitled to more than the minimum under the new rules don't be surprised if they only pay the minimum for a while until they catch up with what you are entitled to (and especially if you have paid a lump sum rather than have NI deducted under PAYE).

Pappajohn. Perhaps your shirl was dueto gethers just before she 66 with her being a waspi?
