Starlink ordered… I feel it’s the only sensible option now..

Yes. I used a different e mail when we reregistered ours in Spain.
The only issue I have had is that you can’t order directly from Starlink shop to the UK.
I wanted the mini 12v cable tried to change delivery address and computer said no. Ordered from Amazon instead
so did you open up a new account? ive got it on line but the only options it offered me were the UK priced contracts .....

Go back to the posts I did when I set up an EU account. The € pricing plans come up further through the process.

As said by Carpmart.
First one I did was all in French  But when I did the Spanish one I started in English and the price changed when I put in the Spanish address. Both worked ok
I did set them up as new accounts just in case of any problems. The Spanish one I used my previous used email and phone number ok

Did you use the Starlink app and your original account or did you set up a new account somehow?
Carpmart

I will trawl back through the thread, thanks

Yes original app used, into help, then navigated from there… I did use a different email address from the UK registration.

It seemed to default to GBP, even with Spanish address, then towards the end of the registration process, hey presto, it gave me Euros for roam which I selected.

I need to set up a second dish in France at the end of August myself, so please keep us posted. ✔️

So long as its not connected to previous account just our it on and connect to wifi and set up. should be like setting up new. Good luck

As I said yesterday, I got as far as choosing subscription but it was reverting to UK prices - I was accessing it through my current set up and hadn't been given the opportunity to enter new email address. I will try again later and screenshot every page as I progress, which might help others (and me!!)

Just registered a starlink I bought pre loved in the UK, in France - now I will be paying a reduced subscription when in the EU, subject of course to that always being the case ...???

It was a lot easier than I thought.i used a local address in France of the road where the campsite is including the post code ..... Everything was in English which made it easier. I even used my UK nat West credit card to pay the subscription

Cost came to £60.31 as opposed to £96!

I will convert it to full 12v when I get home which means I will have the original Frank Starlinkenstein 'spare' if anyone is interested in a single unit starlink with internal router, all powered from just one 12v cable !

Has anybody else had a problem with the Starlink Mini shutting down then failing to reboot? I have had this several times on the current trip in Spain. The dish fails to come back online and starts getting very hot, with an abnormal pattern of the blue light going on and off. So far it has always recovered eventually, usually after being left off overnight. It doesn't get excessively hot when operating normally. Starlink support have been pretty useless. Latest suggestion is not to operate it in full sunlight, but of course if I run it under some shade its view of the satellites will be obstructed!

When working it is performing well - see screenshot below

If that's there solution then it's not fit for purpose, I would think it's faulty and needs replacing.

To be fair they did say that if it showed the same fault on the original power supply then they would replace. Don't have that with me so will have to wait until I get home.

Update: despite me saying I would test it with the original supply when I get home, after reporting the latest spate of crashes they came back with a message saying they were shipping me a replacement, so I hope it doesn't turn out to be a problem with my POE power supply!

Unfortunately they are shipping it before we get back so might have persuade the courier to deliver to a neighbour once I get the tracking info.

In Spain the 9€ Gov.es tax for "electromagnetic spectrum access" appears to have stopped?
I have had a route around but can only find someone on Reddit asking the same thing 4 days ago. Also in the app it shows the lower amount for the invoice.
My invoice for this month is for just the standard amount without the additional 9€? anyone else noticed it?
