Hello all,
I've been looking to find a 12 volt to 12 volt adaptor to power my echo dot in the van.
All those I can find on Amazon or ebay seem to have reviews that say they don't have the amperage needed & cut out once the volume is raised.
Any ideas or suggestions from the tech minded on the forum would really be appreciated.
Thanks.

Buy the battery base that clips on, then any charger will work
That’s what I do

The earlier, 2nd generation Dot already comes with a usb cable. Just leave the 230v plug part at home. Ours works fine plugged straight into the 12v usb socket in the MH. Plenty of them available on ebay for not a lot of money

I made one for ours and it works great. Cost £1.99 for the dc plug for the echo. The rest I had.

Now £2.75 but that's inflation for you. I'm sure if you look around you can get cheaper. Malins are good if there is one near you.

I put an older Echo Dot v2.0 in the Motorhome which as has been suggested, works directly off a 12v USB cable. Dead easy!
