Most of my life in one form or another
Refitted the bonnet today after stripping it and respraying satin black.
The original top coat was peeling very badly and after a quick blast with the pressure washer, most had come off.
Sanded back, primed and top coat .
Pretty pleased with the result .

Yes, nice job and very satisfying when you look at it afterwards but as Razamataz has said, laquer. But try using a 2k ( 2 pack laquer comes in spray format with laquer and hardener in one can ) as this will help protect from stone chips and bird droppings.
 
But the rest of the van isn’t black, so nothing to match to?
