Oops, I thought it was a security device on the disk looped round the wheel.
That does look dangerous

Should be more like this, although I think the metal pipe has been replaced on this & is a bit long.

Is it just me or does that look as if it might be a front calliper, or at least mounted on the wrong side? The brake pipe connection comes out the top. All the bikes I have had run along the swingarm and into the nipple that points up the arm, no kinks or bends.

Over enthusiastic amateur....like me!

I hope it was pinged on the MOT!

Even worse, the bike has (should have) linked brakes, making correctly setting the system up pretty important?

The weirdness of people who do such things baffle me completely.

I worked exclusively on Blackbirds for 17 years... Believe me, linked brakes are not that fussy about what lines are used :)
Nothing really to set up.. The PCV and delay units are sealed.. About the only thing you have get get tight is the rod that activates the secondary master cylinder

But its a stainless flexi
No different to using them on the front surely, providing there is no chance of it rubbing of course
It would fail scrutineering, flexible brake pipes should be as close to the pivot point as to keep the amount of defection to a minimum, brake pipes should be P clipped or cable tied to the swing arm to ensure they don't come into contact with wheel/tyre etc, Road wise it would never pass it's MOT where I have mine done, in fact they'd seriously kick my ass for even taking it there like that

It's a wire braided hose, tyre will go bang before the hose so what's yer problem?

:xlaugh:
