I had an auto electrician to look at why my leisure battery wasn't not charging when driving and he called the Hymer split charge relay "primitive" and whether he knew how to fix it or not - he didn't.
I then had an ex Brownhills guy out - very good - fettled off a few little irritating jobs for very reasonable costs and I was pleased. Very familiar with the Hymer split relay charge and the D-link thing that he pointed out and sorted it and it works.
Fast forward to a month or so later whilst looking at / thinking about my one battery situation - which I'm comfortable with - I suddenly wondered what's stopping my "primitive" eh - its 26 years old - split charge relay from over charging the leisure battery via the alternator.
I'm guessing nothing and perhaps I have to be mindful of its connection ?
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks
