Thought I'd try and get my spare wheel from underneath my motorhome, only had it 20 months.

Glad I'd tried to do it now before we had to do it in anger as it has jammed with it looks like frayed cables in the housing.

Anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced replacement? It's a 2007 fiat Ducato Panel van.

Fleabay has loads i believe ( but i have known to be wrong ) that there was a modification to the spare system. as a result there is a newer model available which "apparently" is easier to use and does not jam.

i looked at them recently but i do not have room under the van there are water tanks in the way ....

I thought there would be loads as well, but either my searching is duff or there is none at the moment

Loads on there just put Ducato spare wheel carrier in👍😊

Did you know there was a recall for Ducati’s 2007-2010 for a fault with the spare wheel carrier it might be worth giving Fiat a call?😊
Courtesy of Practical Motorhome :
It afflicts Ducatos built between April 2006 and March 2010, Boxers built between February 2006 and October 2007 and Relays built between July 2006 and June 2008. All in all, over 20,000 vehicles are affected by the recall.

To check if your motorhome is one of them, you will need to refer to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the chassis plate, which is normally located in the engine compartment, just under the lip of the bonnet. Affected Ducatos have VINs ranging from ZFA25000001000371 to ZFA25000001789440, while affected Boxers have VINs ranging from VF3******11000648 to VF3 ****** 11506946 and affected Relays from VF7******11032532 to VF7****** 11507338. Fiat owners can also use Link Removed.

Looks like mine is one that should have been recalled but it looks like it still has the old version on, well it had as I had to take it off as it was jammed. I'll give fiat a call on Monday, you never know
