Hi, we’re going to the iow in September and are going down to southampton the day before, and was wondering if anyone could suggest either overnight parking or campsite not too far from the ferry port, Thanks Andy

IOW ferry is from Portsmouth isn't it

There is https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=22568 - Port Solent Marina Keep it's free but you have to ring security on 023 9221 0606 to let them know you are stopping so they can tell the security patrols
it's quite dark and there are lots of eateries/bars if you get there early enough
