South east Spain - Campsite booking needed at Easter? (1 Viewer)

Were heading from Santander to Granada next Sunday for our first trip to southern Spain. Then planning to spend 10 days between Malaga and Almeria. As this period will include Easter will I need to book a campsite on the coast or is there plenty of availability?

I would expect you need to book. We were in southern Spain two years ago for Easter and the sites were very busy.

The Spanish campers will be out and about over Easter so the popular sites will be busy and the ACSI card may not be taken so it gets expensive. You may have to look for a site away from the coast.
On La Manga at the moment and it is full.

Many religious festivals, parades and general partying otherwise during Semana Santa everywhere in Spain - it's a BIG Public Holiday everywhere so don't expect to much banking or commerce going on - make sure your fridge and 'larder' are full before Good Friday !

Normally they would take the ACSI card so the rate will be in the book but will be around €20 or so. We stay 6 months so pay €11 Euro a night for a 100m2 pitch.
There is a camper stop at Los Najeros and a new one at Ribera.

South east Spain to me is Costa Dourada !

Playa Montroig would be my number one choice.

But it depends how you view Spain geographically.

Anything mediterranean Spain as South and Altlantic As North.

But I am a Mancinian
