Over a year ago one of my motorhome windows was badly damaged (I have a Burstner 580), and have had no success in that time finding a replacement.

Burstner referred me to their local agent, who advised that they could supply in 2 weeks and requested payment in full to make the order. I paid that but after several weeks I was informed that Burstner had supply issues and couldn't at that stage give a supply date. Further requests to the agent in the following months just repeated the message that Burstner are awaiting supply. When I contacted Burstner saying I had been waiting for months for the order, their only response was that I should contact the local sales agent and would not even give an approximate date when supplies might be expected.

The window is 970mm wide by 600mm high and was manufactured by Polyplastic

I am looking for possible alternatives as the vehicle is not watertight and unusable until replaced.

Regards

DJ

p.s. I have been most unimpressed with the after-sales service I experienced with Burstner, they couldn't have been more disinterested.

Maybe you can get one from a caravan/motorhome breaker.
Or try O'Leary who have Polyplastic windows of various sizes e.g.

I had a 1520mm x 620mm replacement made by EECO who used my broken one as a pattern. (£414).

Was In a similar situation with last van

Eco were rubbish in replying , in fact never did after filling out their online form.

In the end used :
Gave them the window code you see in the corner of window.
At that time 10-12 wk turnaround but maybe shorter now

Took cc details but no payment till in their stock.
Successfully sorted
Maybe worth a call

Very fortuitous this thread coming along, just back from Spain after cutting the holiday short due to a breakin on the Motorhome,
They couldn’t get through the deadlocked doors so they covered the side looking cameras and smashed the kitchen window to gain entry,
Only possible silver lining was a fair amount of blood left behind after ransacking the Motorhome,
Tried to source a window in Spain at a €1000 but they wouldn’t give a firm delivery date so decided to head home to sort it,
At least now I have a few possible contacts to obtain one from, many thanks jollyrodger

That is very sad to hear, hope you get it sorted and back on the road soon.
Where abouts in Spain did it happen?

Playa del Rio just north of Mojacar, Beach car park fairly empty because the weather wasn’t great, and stupidly we decided to go for a long walk to stretch our legs,

The police said it is a regular occurrence they normally get two or three a week, hindsight is a wonderful thing, just be careful where you park up especially if you’re leaving the motorhome unattended.

The sad thing about it is we met a Belgium couple who had made sure their motorhome was devoid of valuables when parked up, and when they were broken into after finding no valuables the scumbags totally destroyed the interior causing €5000 to repair, so he now leaves a €50 note in a draw so if he gets broken into again he hopes They will take it and leave without doing any damage,
