Hi all,
I am thinking of replacing my CBE PRS 300 controller with a Votronic. The PRS 300 has the obvious input and to battery wires but also has a small plug (mid picture ). Presumably it is an output to the main CBE control panel. It probably will not function with the Votronic. If it only tells the unit the solar input to the battery I can manage without it. Has anyone any info on this particular type swop.
Thanks
Tkk

The Votronic has a data connection for Elektroblocks maybe compatible with the CBE, got to be worth asking Votronic the question.

We had Votronic on our CBE equipped van, I am not aware of any connection Votronic to CBE and ours was monitored via Votronic Solar Computer.

The plug is just display I think,

Just a thought as I find them good at replying BUT the subject always includes spam, "AW: *** Spam *** S-BC bluetooth" so might be worth checking your junk/spam folder.

We got a quick reply from Votronic regarding a solar controller (it was a simple question with a simple answer), but have since asked them about a B2B charger and waiting. Perhaps as it's not a quick simple answer it's fallen into the cracks.

Is there any further updates on the thread above?

I've just swapped my CBE PRS 300 for a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 in our Frankia. The control panel now displays a warning and no solar charge information, but I can connect to the SmartSolar via Bluetooth to get the charge status etc. The control panel shows an error symbol, and doesn't display the solar charge.

I've been trying to find out (without success) the function of the four wires on the small plug of the PRS 300, in the hope that I can somehow interface with the VE:Direct bus connector on the Victron to restore the information display on the controller.
