I have had and loved the van for 9yrs, has anyone else had the gut wrenching feeling when someone wants to buy your van and reality kicks in that its really going, such a sad day :(

Yes know the feeling ? I once owned a Land Rover Defender ? alas, it had to go ?????
Chin up, Time is a good healer ?

Could never let my V8 110 go, even though room is tight its still with me, it must have been awful, worse than a motorhome!

Just count the money, that should cheer you up...............but,yes,I do know the feeling, but tell myself it’s only metal/wood/plastic.

It's just as well, otherwise you could have been nicked for being overweight. ;):ROFLMAO: Count your blessings

Yes it really is upsetting but can't say I am in the least bit excited about the new one, maybe it will grow on me, I was just limited to choice re payload and room e.g. rear lounge

Money is in and out on new one, don't even get to touch it!

Did you buy that new Swift (cant remeber model)in the end or reject it, I remeber you were not that impressed having ordered one then watching a video on all the mastic and defects?
You always have to sell one van to replace with another, some on here have done it several times, but I wont mention any names, as long as they are happy and getting full use of them, then whats not to like.

I saw the showroom model, it had niggly faults that I raised and was assured our new one would be fine, it arrived at the dealership wrapped up, my wife happened to be passing one day (4hr drive away) and I asked her to pop in and check it, that is when she took pictures for me and some of the niggles were exactly the same in the new one, seems some of the craftsmen are not doing their job properly never mind quality control. Its being sorted just mastic and wires showing everywhere, its a shame as it just lets it down.

It was the video I found on youtube that alerted me to the issues as I had seen the showroom van thinking it was done off, then saw the video hence sending my wife and then the same on my brand new one. SLOPPY to say the least!

So the dealers are rectifying the mastic and wiring problems, then you will collect it?
What model was it?, a Bolero by any chance?

Sadly, you are in the same "boat" as the vast majority to-day. Even the "God`s of Motorhomes", Are having issues, German Q-C is suffering too!. Best you can do, probably, is to be as picky as hell on handover and log everything with the dealer before you sign off the PDI?.

I sadly made that mistake, on a S-H one in 2018, Handover was on a cold wet miserable March day, and distracted with the wife in the first stages of what turned out to be pleurisy, was not conducive to getting the best outcome. Happy with it now, but I realise my mistakes and it cost me.

One of my "beefs" with manufacturing to-day, is the practice of building everything using labour paid by results, not quality, "stack `em high, sell em (not so cheap). Today's "operatives" (you cannot call them "proper" tradesmen anymore ) don`t have the background or incentive to perform to a high standard.
