I planned to pop along but it never panned out. How did it go?

We had a good day out on Saturday and found the show ground well organised and operating safely. We went by taxi and this lead to some problems with finding pedestrian entry and exit points.
There was clearly far fewer stands and dealers there but those that were seemed busy.
The camping grounds looked well laid out and clearly covid marked - nice nd dry too.

Was planning to go but Mrs L thought the risk too high, especially when Peterborough is considered a Covid hotspot.

We went Saturday, it was a very pleasant day out , plenty of room to walk around , enough vans to look at and stalls to browse , camp site looked well laid out , after that experience I might risk Malvern if the weather looks ok

We stayed over the weekend plenty of room around pitches, to a certain extent it was park where you like which was noticeable with groups of rv's forming up together.

The large grassed area to your right where you usally come in wasn't used only the area inside the fence, and that was maybe 50% full. No pics sorry.

We weren't disappointed with the show because we expected it to be quiet, it was just nice to get away.

Nice summation.

I thought there may be 20 or 30 vans - there were hundreds but properly spaced. Nothing new in the way of gadgets although there were 2 folk selling the same kind of mandolin which you know would be used once then stuffed at the back of a drawer.

Spent Friday (very, very hot!!) and Saturday there. Overall enjoyed it, we were told that only 500 m/homes were on the ground against the normal 6000!!.
Nobody seemed to have any particular probs with the COVID thingy just had to wear a mask if you went inside a m/home that was for sale.
We live a mile or so from the Malvern show ground so I would expect it to be very similar to P'boro but with possibly more stands and better scenery and no A1 noise!!

We went for a few hours on Friday. It was very hot, but fortunately had a bit of a breeze. Nowhere near as many vans for sale, traders or visitors. A very relaxed feel with plent of social distancing. I felt sorry for the traders that were there that there weren’t many customers, but enjoyed a nice chat with a few of them. We picked up a few bits and pieces we wanted.

In summary, I would say as a free show, it was ok, however if it had been a paid entry, we would have been disappointed

Cheers

Trevor

We popped over on Sturday morning as it's only 30mins from our place. Well organised and as Treeev says "OK for a free show" Plenty of MH's to look at if you were interested (we've just brought a new one so didn't bother). A good selection of traders but not as many as I'd hoped for. We were interested in New Chairs and Solar panels, both were thin on the ground. Did get some "sleeve's" to stop the seat belt rubbing against my neck.
Back home in time for lunch.
Camping area looked very spacious.

We were there and, understandably, the show was smaller than usual.

Pitching was super cautious; they could easily have reduced the pitch sizes by a third and no-one would have had any issues with spacing. Instead of the 500 vans that others have mentioned they could easily gave had another 250 vans there.

The only photo I have is this one (the two PVCs were ‘together’ !):

Oh, forgot about this one!

We stayed for the maximum time and had a great time and we are very conscious about isolation. There were a few silly people about but after Friday when masks were few and far between, most people behaved in a 'sensible' manner, giving space for each other.
The parking was almost overgenerous with space which was marvellous and by extraordinary coincidence we were parked on the same spot we were on last year with fun.
I saw no free for all with parking where we were, which was done exactly as with 'Fun' in measured plots. The toilets, water and elsan were freely available throughout, where we were.
The number of stalls was down by about half and the sheds were closed.
Warners staff were patrolling as usual and checking facilities. We could have drowned in the volumes of sanitation fluids provided almost everywhere.
The only 'but' is a personal one, for after chatting to friends and neighbours I was often inclined to forget to stand back as I should.
We wore our badges with pride and did meet up with three other members and saw a badge on another motorhome but did not see anyone.
If Malvern is presented in the same way, we will be there.... we have booked our tickets anyway.
We were thrilled to meet Warners Tannoy female 'Hitler' announcer who was full of fun things she would like to have said.

I was there with truffs and Bessie600. Expected more funsters but only met rosalan . Heard about another but couldn't find him.
We were all parked up by marshals. No choice of where to go but as 2 of us had to wait for our passes we were separated from the other who wasn't allowed to wait with us. However, when we re-met the marshals had liaised and saved 2 places next to her.
Bins, water, elsan all as normal. Didn't see any taps being wiped so take own sanitiser and wash hands after handling.
One way system at some stalls, the one bar and chippy van etc, which is a good idea for normal times!
Stalls had sanitiser/wipes.
Most motorhomes/vans had ropes across open doors with "Please request to view, masks must be worn".
Social distancing was a bit hit and miss when walking around the show but no worse than going in your local supermarket. Some people seemed to just forget. As there were less people than normal it was easy to move away if someone was too close.
As the weather was so good we spent most of the time sitting outside the vans. Would have been a bit miserable if it had rained as we would have had to sit alone in our own vans.
On the whole I was quite impressed with it under the circumstances and would go again.
