Hi,
Just wondering if normal household battery operated smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are standard for using in a van conversion? Probably a stupid question, but better to ask before I buy!! Any recommendations? Thanks again

Just had our wood burner reinstalled and they put a carbon monoxide detector in the lounge - it is exactly the same as the one we use in the motorhome, so in answer to your question, yes they're the same. Ours is a Fireangel.

many many years! since I was a kid
exactly the same detectors used and always buy premium quality. cheap chinese copies are really crap and lives could be lost by trusting them

there is a video or 10 on youtube comparing their sensitivity. one sticks in my mind of a cigarette being stubbed out on a chinese one and not a whisper of an alarm
