Smoke alarm etc

Can anyone recommend a smoke and the other stuff alarm which doen't go off every time you turn a gas ring on? I bought one and fitted it then has a female voice saying fire" every time we cooked. Got so fed up I removed the batteries. Many thanks.

Dont think there is one...they are sensitive for good reason. Pain I know
I take it down and put it back up when cooking potentialy burny stuff,

I alwats leave it somewhere that I cant forget to put it back

I use a small optical one a Fire Angle Atom, never gone off with cooking. I don't think Fire Angle sell that one anymore but other distributers sell the same one.

I have to admit I taken the battery out of mine. Put it on my pillow so I can't forget to put it back in before bedtime.

as Lenny says, you need aan optical one if the ionisation type is problematic... you can get heat type as well which can operate on a rate of rise in temperature but don't think they are as suitable for a motorhome ..
