Has anybody had one? I had one yesterday, result in 20 to 30 mins by text or/and email. I think there are centres for testing all over the country? Mine was Aintree Race Course, no que's just in and out. Free and no need to book, just turn up! Result was negative :xsmile:

You can also go as many times as you want.

Because they may develop symptoms the next day as they are incubating it for up to 10 days.

Request for the Active Infection Diagnostic Test (AIDT) to enter Spain

From 23rd November 2020 all passengers who come from a high-risk country in relation to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, in order to enter Spain, MUST show a certificate with a NEGATIVE PCR or TMA result (RT-PCR of COVID-19), carried out in the 72h prior to your arrival. Children under 6 years of age are not required to take this test. You can consult the list of risk countries in this link.
This certificate or supporting document must be the original, will be written in Spanish and / or English, French or German and may be presented in paper or electronic format. The document will contain, at least, the following information: traveler's name, passport or ID number, date of the test, identification and contact details of the center that performs the analysis, technique used and negative test result.
The personal identification number (passport / DNI) that you used to get your QR must be the same as the one that appears on the negative PCR / TMA certificate.
The airlines or shipping companies will check that the QR code is obtained from the health control documents without, under any circumstances, accessing the information contained in them.
Upon arrival in Spain, you may be subjected to a health check at the airport and after the evaluation carried out by the health authority (including the documents control) you may be required to undergo a diagnostic test for COVID-19. We inform you that your personal data will be used in order to guarantee control of the COVID-19 epidemic and your healthcare. For more information about the processing of your personal data, click here.

What type of test is it ?

It’s the 50% accurate lateral flow test

I used to part own a company that manufactured and sold lateral flow ("rapid") tests. We would not have marketed a test that was only 50% accurate, you may as well have flipped a coin. Ours were more than 90% accurate (depending on the test they might be optimised to minimum false positive or minimum false negative) and if there was any doubt we advised an ELISA test.

I’m struggling to see the point of the tests then, so going by your info we should have tests every 10 days to make sure we’re always clear?? It’s a bit like an MOT, the result is only good for the 45mins on the ramp!

Yes. It was reported in the local papers, following the Liverpool pilot, that on all the Liverpool tests they did that it only picked up 50% of positives. I presume they did the lateral flow test and also sent the swabs for lab testing and that’s how they got this figure.

If you test positive you have it - if you test negative you still might have it.........

Imagine a pregnancy test that gave a similar result :(. I know it's a different beast as the covid test is not looking for hormonal markers.
