Can anyone recommend a small box freezer to supplement the postbox in the fridge in the van?
TIA,
Dave

We used an lg compressor cool box (12v)@-18 for a while but coupled with the compressor fridge was around 5ah on hot days..so swopped for 240v fridge freezer ( separate doors) uses circa 2/3 ah.

We use an Alpicool 17 litre which fits nicely under our table/ bench seat.

Been looking at these -look pretty good, it will probably get one.
Cheers, Dave
Sorry, mine was the 16litre version, very impressed with it. Mainly use it as a beer fridge which is switched on for a few hours before beer oclock. It will go down to about -20C if needed though. If I remember right it used about 10amps on a crossing from Plymouth to Santander on the eco mode.
Maybe worth waiting until Prime day next week to see if there are any deals to be had. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BRKSJY33?tag=mhf04-21

Ridiculously cheap . You can’t buy a compressor for that price

So far so good, but it's not had a proper test yet.

Originally I bought a Waeco/Dometic unit.It cost a fortune and packed in shortly after its warranty expired.I saw the same size Alpicool unit(50L) for way less then half the price so took a bit of a gamble on that.3 years and several holidays later I am glad I did.
