Slapping out an (opening /driveway) in my rear garden wall ( single brick 9 feet high (2 Viewers)

I am trying to figure out the comfortable/ minimum gate width required for parking a 20 foot long van inside the property which has a 20 foot wide lane at the rear of it.

Personal experience and opinions most welcome .

I am moving to an old Victorian semi-detached house

A fag packet swept path shows 7m width required but this could be reduced with some 3 tooing and froing.

We had an 8.1metre van and 12 ft gates and there was a load of space dring off from a minor B road with the gates back 6metres back off the road.
