Hi, I’m looking for sites with onsite fishing. I have mobility issues so preferably would like pitch close to a lake or riverside.
I have been to East Horsley which was very good but looking to broaden my horizons.
Any suggestions for suitable sites in South East England will be appreciated.

Went here 4 or 5 times last year and it’s very good fishing. https://www.orchardlakes.co.uk/camping
If you are not to worried about electric you can park about 40m away from the match lake.
They have a full campsite just as you come in the site but it’s a bit far to walk, you can also drive up to a few of the lakes and park next to the swims

I stayed at a small site, near Bude,Cornwall, last year.

Do you consider roaming that far?

If so I'll dig out the details.

Several (11?) lakes here one after the other. The nearest is 100yds from the site and right alongside a level tarmac private road.

Beside the first lake is the excellent Lakeside Café.

You can fish from other CCC sites such as the Thames at Chertsey and the River Mole at Walton-on Thames and the Ouse at St Neots.
All from the Campsites.

Thanks to all for suggestions. I have been to some of the recommendations and am looking into the others. I have booked end of May at East Horsley cc site Where I have been before.

Henlow bridge lakes, Henlow Bedfordshire, for when travelling that way

The one at Wyre Piddle that the Pershore rally/meet in on at Easter is on the banks of the river. I think the lads that were fishing there caught more than just colds Carpmart ,daveandsan Ambilkate ,they could advise further.

Summers ponds in barns green Horsham perfect for lakeside fishing loads of disabled fishing swims also available ,

RLS, if you are happy to travel a bit further I can really recommend Dog Lane Fishery at Napton.
One match/pleasure lake and 2 specimen Carp lakes.
I stay there regularly and fish the pleasure lake.
Very easy access. Friendly. Immaculate camping area.
In fact there are 2 camping areas. 1 main camping field and then “Lakeside” which is at the side of the pleasure lake.
Fishing wise, the pleasure lake holds Carp to mid doubles, lots of them, huge Perch, good Bream, some Barbel and I believe a few Sturgeon!!!!!
I know it might be further afield, but honestly I think you will struggle to find better.
Josh, the owner does great deals if you book for a week.
And to cap it all, a fantastic canal side pub in the village.

If you can do with none electric you should find loads of spaces

Sadly Easter is still the close season on the Rivers.

It’s a nice little stretch there by the CL site and very enjoyable fishing. The master of the big hauls with the Bream is tonyandcarol

Henfold in Dorking might be worth a look. Lovely spot in the Surrey Hills. Half a dozen lakes to choose from but I would imagine the main lake would be your best bet.

Went there last summer and it was crap, booked 2 nights but went after the first.
Very very tight on getting around all overgrown and loads of trees dotted around.
Set up for fishing on the first day and next thing a couple of families were having a picknick behind me and then playing football.
Looked over the other side of the lake and was the same there.
Seems to be a place people take kids to have a run around☹️☹️

Thank you certainly looks good but out of my price range

You don't have to stay at the touring park to use the fishing lakes and there is limited parking alongside first lake where I have day-parked my 6m m/h when fishing. There used to be an 'Honesty Box' for fishing at the parking area but maybe you pay now at the Lakeside Cafe. It's worth a look anyway if you are passing nearby.

Went there last year. Have to say, I won’t be going back.
I’ve been there a few times. I checked just about every day for bookings and twice I got premium lakeside spots. Perfect for me. Very very pricey here though. Food and drink at cafe extremely expensive.

I don't know what clubs you belong too but, I belong to both (but, as a single OAP, I normally use CCC) and I'm sure that in the back pages of one of the clubs yearly handbook, there is a whole section showing club sites for fisher/peoples, pubs etc.

homestead lakes. Weeley, Essex.

Not the south east, but up here in the Lincolnshire Wolds there are a few sites where you pitch is right by your fishing spot. Caistor Lakes, I think is one such site.
