Site Close Calais

Hi

Can another recommend a site really close to the Euro Tunnel as we have a early Train next week.

Need to be able to come of the Site at 5:00am so would need one without exit restrictions or gate pass.

It’s worth explaining that you don’t need a campsite you could use an aire that usually is free and you can come and go as you please as the suggestions above click on the word in my next post for explanation

We always use this site https://www.escale-camping.fr/

about 20 mins from the tunnel and you can leave at any time as there are no barriers. Almost direct access to the A28 there is a restaurant on site if that takes your fancy.

Yes they have a barrier but give you a code for early exit

30 mins from tunnel, lovely site. They have a barrier but in the past they have set the timer so it will open when you ask for it to be open. I think it now opens anyway for exit automatically.

I'd save yer plenty free stops at side of motorway, last time we parked up beside fuel station 30 mins away, only van there maybe a dozen HGV,s quiet and felt very safe

WISSANT on D 940 coast road about 20 kms S/W of CALAIS . Official Aire . Free . No gates . Large site but can be busy .

We always use the Aire at Wissant, Pas de- Calais, Haute-de-France 62179. N 50°53’12.56” E1°40’12.97” no barriers 45 mins to Eurotunnel.

Les Erables is a nice site if you want a site, and I don't remember a barrier there, though I'm sure you would be able to arrange early exit, Sabine is very friendly.

Great little site, perfect for Tunnel. You can also walk into Calais.

We used the aire next to Camping Le Grand Gravelot earlier this year and left at 5.00am for the tunnel, perfect.
Pricey for an aire at €10, but safe and cheaper than a site.
The site is the other side of the hedge.

Used the Aires by Camping Gravelot in the end worked out really well thanks everyone for your suggested location.
