Setting out on the North 500 at the end of April for 4 weeks. Would you bother putting a silver screen on (we have a Taylors) or go without? Our other option would be to take a light weight cover. I guess it all about condensation. Any advice would be welcome.

I did the Highlands on the motorbike for the May bank holiday a few years ago. Couldn't do the Applecross pass because it snowed 30cm that day.

You probably won't need it. But you might.

Scotland has great views, touring means extra packing of -sometimes wet - screens. We like to see the views and move on, so we very rarely take our screens.
We have a window vac for condensation. A couple of wipes and done. And you may not get too much condensation in May.

We always take ours.

If its not too hot and not too cold and we only stop for the night we might not put it on.
But anywhere we stop for 2 or more nights we always put it on.
We can get on and off in under 30 seconds, so why would'nt we ?
