I have at last found Silicon Grease.

I will use it for lots of lubrication, but wonder if it is safe to use on hinges which have nylon bushes.

Answers from those who really know please.

TIA

Nylon when used in a 'general' type of service requires no lubrication as it is essentially self lubricating.
Are you sure your bushings are Nylon and not another polymer and what is the material that they are in contact with and under what circumstances?

Silicon grease is perfect for plastics/nylons. If the hinges were old skool metal pins with no nylon bush then a lithium grease would be better.

No I not sure the bushes are nylon. They are in the hinges of the outside doors, e.g. garage etc. They metal parts seem to be cast alloy. A few years ago one corroded and snapped, so if it were nylon self-lubricating it did not work.
