I was stunned when signature RV in Wolverhampton said they are not interested in taking our Gulf Stream montaj in part exchange with any of their vehicles, they did not even bother giving a derogatory price!?
Strange way of doing business.

I had a similar experience with a dealer... bought a 10 month old RV and had nothing but trouble..

Went to a dealer at a show cos we didn`t even want to go abroad in the RV to get a change and the dealer didn`t take RV`s but phoned round to see if they could off load it..

Same dealer we bought from offered 40 or 44K£`s... and we had paid 10 months earlier £85K...

Went to "Travelworld and they gave me a half decent part X price against the one we have now.. (Rapido)...
Been well pleased with it...(y)

Would I go back to a Yank Tank."NO".... or if I did I would only buy private.. :shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake:

This is not that unusual. RV's can sit of a forecourt for a VERY long time between sales. They know what they can shift and at what price. Think of it as a blessing, 9 times out of 10 you're better off with an eBay sale (y)

The RV is 2012 and is a copy of a neislon birchoff. With having a forecourt full they perhaps should remove the following statement from their web site:
Part Exchanges Welcome
American RV's * Motorhomes * Caravans * Cars * Classic Cars * Bikes

It's a lovely RV, I'm sure you won't have too much difficulty selling it. Best of luck. What did you want to swap it for?

Hi Jim yes we love the RV and had not planned to change until we the tiffin at signature.

Have you got some pick of your RV we are wanting one but not till February .

Hi thanks for your interest the RV is only 3 years old and should fetch around £90,000

Hi I liked the Montaj when I looked it. Did you buy it from Oakwell Motorhomes.

I know of some one that may be interested, what price was in new three years ago?

Hi they were selling for £110,000, this one was the demonstrator which we have had for 2 years, paid £99,000

After some thought one reason why signature did not want a part exchange is they are selling on commission and probably taking 15 to 25% which will only cover a low cost MH
