We are contemplating a prolonged tour in Andalusia late winter and wondered if anyone had any camping tips for accessing the skiing here?

Hi Jac
There isn't a campsite with direct access to the ski resort. The nearest campsite is situated about half way up the mountain, so you would need to drive up to the resort to ski.

There is an aire of sorts in the top car park, no electric or fresh water but there is toilets which are open when the ski pass office is open. There is a grey and black dump, but the twice we have been there is was either covered over in ice and snow or shut off.

Good skiing though when the weather's is right. Avoid the weekends and Spanish holidays, as it gets crazy busy.

Sounds great!
Thanks Amy.
Is there a ski bus from the campsite? What was the name - do you remember and was it high priced in the ski season? We’ll be there March/April . How did you find the skiing?

We stayed at the aire so have no idea about a ski bus. Here is the campsite though.
Las Lomas

The one thing to know about Sierra Navarda is that it is not as snow sure as the Alps. You might be pushing it in April.
