So a nice morning cleaning the motorhome.

Finally got the stickers in place. Give us a wave if you see us on your travels

Never got a sticker, even with my life membership.
Have I missed something?
We sent a stamped address envelope to Jim and he kindly sent us some and also some business card thingys to hand out to others if they wanted to join. Hopefully someone will be able to supply the address you need to send your envelope too

I stole mine from a table at a Motorhome Show where there were lots of them. We did not even pay for the biscuits but did help make tea and coffee.
To make recompense we always display the big "Fun" badges in our windows and my wife usually encourages people to join Fun.

If you show the sticker you might actual get someone that might come and speak to you:yawn: and in my experience they prefer talking from behind a keyboard, sadly.
If you see us bring some beers or wine over with your chairs. We’re not really the people who come bowling over to chat as we try to leave people to enjoy there time away. But we Defo love a bit of company while the kids are off doing kiddy things. Always nice to have a chat with others especially when it’s got a bit later and we’re fed up chatting to each other 😁

Perhaps that could be the problem!

We Brits tend to be reserved, and reticent to introduce ourselves to someone we don’t know. Generally, we tend to speak to anyone who appears to have something in common with us. Same make of motorhome, dog owners or displaying a MHF sticker although, in seven years of membership, we have only spotted 3 MHF stickers, and one of those was a non-member who had inherited the sticker when buying his m/h.

Like you we are unlikely to just “drop in” and chat if there is no obvious opening to do so.

Come on folks, get your stickers out! (y)

Mine, one in both the MH and the car, have become all crinkly: just like me and Dorset Lady, but tell her I said so

Highlands End the last 3 years - fun sticker and yellow name card in the side window. Met a whole load of new people and made them welcome. Shepton Mallet this year. Same thing happened. I will chat with anyone - at least that is what I will tell the magistrate next week in my defence

We've often approached vans which have a MHF sticker in their window to introduce ourselves. Have to say no one else has ever approached us to chat!
If our paths cross I will be happy to bang on your door and relieve you of a beer :xThumb:

I always go and chat to someone showing the smiley :-)

The only sticker worth having in London 30 years ago was this one, any takers?

We bought replaced our van about a month ago with a 2-year old one so it has a little bit of history, but it revealed something yesterday on a damp and misty morning - just the imprint of a smiling face sticker showing in the mist on the windscreen (no, I didn't draw it - it just appeared). I initially thought it was a sticker from this forum but looking at the pictures above, not so sure now. Was this ever the style used here?
