Plates & bowls are just stacked with non slip matting inbetween. Mugs are stored in a Muggi holder which I think is possibly one of my most successful purchases at a show!!

Here's mine

Apart from solving rattling, I also wanted to be able to get it all in one locker and to be able to access any item easily. The only materials I needed were a slot-in glasses holder and two metal bookends that I screwed down. Few cup hooks, scraps of wood etc. and job done. Like others we poke in tea towels etc. when on the move but frankly don't notice any difference when we forget.

Nah, SWMBO does that when we have porridge.

An inch thick piece of foam had four circular recesses cut out of it for our cups, a see through plastic container with thin foam to separate the crockery, every four items, stores all the plates etc, simply lift the container out of the cupboard whenever we need it.
I have always felt that the plastic or metal racks installed by the manufacturers look pretty but waste sooooo much space, each to their own.

I was mistaken it was only five tea towels, holding four dinner plates and four side plates.

Dinner plates.

Side plates, upturned.

The two halves folded onto of each other.

Protected.
No rattles.
Store as you wish.

Self build - I cut holes in my plywood shelf. Stemless wine glasses feel right but take up less space.

Also added one of these arms to stop the plates moving and totally eliminated rattle. I had to cut it short with my grinder. Bowls don't rattle with the aid of a tea towel until I work something better out.

Personally I don't like the idea of foam things. I like to be able to have a wipe clean surface which is why I painted all the insides of my cupboards in white gloss (low VOC) paint.

Very neat! I bought something similar in Ikea which fits in a shallow plastic tub.

I’ve got one of these that I bought years ago for a Pilote used it for a few months but kept it for future use though haven’t used it since, so advertised it on Gumtree for £6 , but not had a enquiry even, thought some self builders might have been interested but no.

You can buy a pack of paper plates for £1 from many outlets. I insert these paper plates between the ceramic ones, as well as the bowls. result - almost perfect silence.....and of course useful if you don't want to wash up after a snack..

Are the models available, would like to modify them for my motorhome. Particularly like the cup holders.
Maybe Jim could find a resource section for us to save useful 3D print files, seen several spares shown on the forums.

I used to put none stick stuff between the pans, but after the third time of setting fire to it when it stuck, I gave up! Use tea towels now!

I just hate rattles and even more not keen on eating off plastic so it has to be china plates. Using some hard foam, 5" plastic pipe and some green baize I made up a deep draw insert and it seems to have done the trick. No more rattles and I get to eat off china!!

I have not had a problem with simply stacking plates and bowls on top of each other in the cupboard, as you would at home. The van came with metal racks for mugs but I still leave the ones I use most regularly sitting on the shelf. I haven't broken anything yet.
Beer glasses are housed in a plastic "tidy" and stemware goes into some clips.
I have an aversion to plastic or melamine dinnerware and I couldn't possibly drink out of plastic glasses, so nothing less than Mason's Ironstone and Waterford crystal for me! The old man uses a few charity shop glasses for his beer.
Sorry about the "fuzzy" photos and now I realise my mug cupboard could do with a wipe down.

Edinburgh Crystal glassware? My mother worked at Thomas Webb & Sons in Stourbridge as Wages Clerk and used to squirrel money away to buy 'Quality Seconds', with the advantage that the foreman would put the very best of the QS stock for her [e.g. a single grain of sand in the stem of the glass, virtually invisible to the naked eye]. Mum was so proud to build up a set of B144 diamond pattern QS, because that was what was supplied to the Royal Yacht Britannia [well, obviously Madge had 'Firsts' ...]
