Anyway on this trip alone, from 15th june in France we have been on the following Free Aires. -

This is St Loup sur Thouet, there's a small town with a bar, a couple of restaurants and a small Vival shop. The aire has an outdoor launderette too.

Stopped there is late May… ‘Tis a good un!

Perfect aire, bit out of town, dump and water arent great. Toilet open during daytime, excellent cycling (with batteries)

Sarlat Carrefour Aire another free one. Huge area seperate from main car park with sign "Aire du Camping Cars Gratuit"

Belvedere at Gourdon (The Provence Gourdon overlooking Antibes)

Gourdon (best free aire in Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur) has very restricted capacity this summer as at least half of it is fenced off as a storage compound for water pipes. It looks likely to stay like that throughout August.

If you are still tempted best to approach from the Pre du Lac side rather than from Pont du Loup.
