These are the sort of places I like, stopped at many like this one, but not this town, so thank you, will be there in 2026.

Can thoroughly recommend it. From the side of the aire at the back of our van

Beaune, only 9 spaces on the Aire but it was grape harvest time when we were there I counted 44 vans.

We stopped on this one for lunch, nice by the river and close to bars etc. River directly behind vans.

Take the Historic Guided Walking Tour, very interesting, cost about €30 I think. enjoy your trip

Bourg also known as Bourg-sur-Gironde is a very small town on the river, And between the river and the wall the is a small campsite called Camping Da la Citadel, just outside the west wall is an free Aire de stationnement camping-cars, it is very quite and felt very safe, There is water and waste bins, Grey and Black you dump at the entrance of Camping-Cars Parc, we stayed here for three days with no problems.

Youre doing very well at changing our holiday plans for next week

St Andre has changed it's layout as shown in the photo, still very nice, but MHs restricted to one area now. Whole area has been landscaped at large cost. Lovely stroll around lake and short walk to canal . We stop there often. Free hot showers at the small "port" in the nearby town.

Sorry MichaelT but I didn't realise that you haven't quite got the hang of it. Most of us on forum know that what you do when you want to visit an Aire is to take your motorhome with you by road.

I m now on holiday.

Updating the map isn't a high priority however I get up significantly earlier than the long time retiree so will probably update it in a morning when or if I get the laptop out as it only takes 20 seconds or so if you make it easy for me to find.
I may not update it for a couple of days, or I may not bother for 6 weeks.

Alternatively if someone wanted full blown map access, and wanted to add them I can give that access and talk through the really quick way they can be added.

Don't feel a need to offer. I ll see how I get on

Water, waste, bins etc.
There is the site of a WW2 airplane crash quite near, and the small, rustic church has a memorial and photos. The interior of the church is well worth a visit - right next to the free Aire.

Extremely quiet and out of the way, services available.
You can take a (free) tour of the manufacturing plant and buy all sort of their oil .
Access gate needs a code which they will email to you on request.
