Does anyone know if the car ferry from Setubal to the Troia peninsula will take anything bigger than cars?

many thanks

I am not sure but once across the water you arrive at a very strange tourist complex (Troia) with nearly nowhere to park as it is mostly height restricted.

Heading south from the complex is a very boring, windy, sandy drive.

You end up very near Alcacer do Sal only 12 kms from Pego Altar, one of my favourite off-site locations.

You can drive over the Vasco Da Gama bridge (free going south) and get to Alcacer which has an excellent, small, municipal site just past the Intermarche Supermarket.

JJ

An interesting article in the Algarve Resident newspaper this week mentioned a new Ro Ro Ferry service from Setabul to Baltimore in the USA, it is run by the Grimaldi line

Thanks you two!
