If you’re the motorhomer who started their engine at 0630hrs this morning on site in York and left it running for 40 minutes, you are a selfish Pratt!
Good job you left as I was on my way over to tell you so.
No excuses. It doesn’t take 40 minutes to clear your windscreen so why pi££ off your neighbours just because you’re up?!
I don’t get many weekends off work but when I do and go away, I don’t want some ignorant burke warming his seat for 40 minutes at the expense of waking everyone else up!
Rant over!

Perhaps they had run down their leisure battery and wanted to get some heat (or something else to work) into the van and that was the only way they could do it.

Not likely if on the York site as I think all pitches have ehu.
I have a Karcher window vac which removes any condensation in seconds.

I understand that some people need to set off early for long journeys but have some consideration to others if it’s 630am on a Sunday morning.
You are a very understanding man GAVLAD
My wife wouldn't have been - she's not happy being woken up a 09.30.

On the recent bank holiday weekend I decided to avoid the usual bank holiday Monday traffic and stay over on the Monday night. However that meant leaving at 6am on Tuesday morning to get to work on time.
I managed to speak to my CL site neighbour and apologised in advance for any early morning noise and then packed everything away on the Monday evening. So Tuesday 6 am was simply wake up, drink, use and then empty toilet and then get going. We deliberately avoided using our woosh bang door and hopefully left the site with the minimum of noise.

Hopefully that is the way to do it.

Possibly the same selfish oaf that I encountered last Autumn I think it was. I go jogging early morning and the route passes the York Rowntree site. As I was approaching the site at 7:00 a man with a big dog came out of the motorhome park and his dog left a huge turd on the path. No picking up, he just went back into the park. Unfortunately, I didn’t see which van he went to or I’d have had a word in his shell-like. Some people’s selfishness………

Some Folk eh....,,,,,,🙄

To be fair most people get off earlier than we do and and we are rarely disturbed by them leaving.
If we do leave somewhere early which is rare, we try not to make any unnecessary noise.

We we’re on Black horse farm site for an early morning tunnel when somebody in a caravan turned up at 1.34am & parked next to us. Couldn’t believe it would be allowed but there he was! Would’ve complained but know it would have fallen on deaf ears. Oh & the instructions to the tunnel were wrong too!

Get a life you lot we live a 24/7 world hang on the mrs doesn’t get up till at least 9am and should I attempt to wake her before for any reason castration is a possibility.😬😬😬😬

Possibly delayed on their way down through unforseen circumstances. They had to park next to somebody.

Could've been worse, someone might have forgotten to switch there Strikeback Growler off, then started the engine before departing Canterbury P&R at 05.15am for the early train😡

I remember sleeping in my truck cab at Lymm services and getting woke up at 2.30am by a truck with a noisy refrigeration unit pulled in beside me. I was just getting back to sleep when another truck pulled in the other side.......... with about 400 sheep onboard baaa, baaa baa :madder:

You may be right however he / she could have moved the van elsewhere away from sleeping campers and left it running then retuned to the pitch, or just pack up, start up and leave quietly?
