I have recently made a self build camper ford transit the problem I have is when I'm parked on a main rd / layby usually on cleveleys or st Anne's the van rocks when a vehicle drives past at speed any suggestions please I'm begging to feel sea sick !

Beginning to feel sea sick ( stupid pre text thing ! )

Fit some outriggers?

air assister bags in the suspension. they replace the bumpstops and can be pumped up to tighten the suspension, resisting the body roll

you need a setback layby or steady legs but they would prevent a fast getaway from trouble, simple answer is park elsewhere

Cheers mate they sound expensive ?

Don't mean to sound dumb ( mrs states otherwise ) what are outriggers ??

Outriggers are stabilising legs as seen on trucks with cranes or cherry pickers on the back, or fire engines when ladders are used, I wasn't being serious when I suggested them lol!

Grab a pair of second hand caravan wind down legs would be the cheapest option..
Ummm.. I have a pair actually !
£25 including postage if you are interested :)

I'm guessing its not a X240/X250 as these pretty stable. My Ford based CB was terrible for this. as others have said trying to sleep next to a road with fast traffic not the best of idea for a peaceful night....

Have a word with this company it may help

Jaws do you still have the steadies, if so I have a coach built and was wondering would they fit
Obviously need to check height required, what height are the ones you got
Thks

yes, still got them .. No idea what size they are without checking.. But to be fair MPO should really get first refusal..
I will measure them tomorrow

OR, stick a couple of local Cleveleys girls in the back.........Two slabs of ale, and a crate of pies. It wont rock with them on board.....:)(y);)

Maximum drop is a tad over 20".. So quite a large movement range !

I bought them and fitted then to the Miller but removed them when I sold it

.............. you think YOU have problems ... try putting your mascara on when this is happening...
