Idly browsing eBay this afternoon and prices definitely seem to have dropped with far more nice looking vans in the 20-30k bracket.

Good news if true. Prices were being hyped up. Summer season all but over in the U.K. and lots of people finding out this staycation life’s not for them.

We’re hoping for a fall in the new year before we buy, visited a number of dealers over the last few weeks no stock , dealers with usually 50 plus vans with less than ten now half sold and new vans due in in November seven out of ten already sold, we will be at our next festival early June next year so any time up to then to buy will suit us.
hopefully all the people who threw money at dealers because they had to staycation wiling be bored and move on to the next fad space tourism or some such.

Yes, I think that when the fly always can get on a plane and three hours later be laid on a beach being served their favourite plonk they will be giving up their mohos and caravans.

I suppose if your going to sell one now is the time before the weather turns completely. I would think it's harder to sell a van in the colder and wetter months.

Mrs I2C just checked a few dealers sites and she's not convinced they've come down in price yet. They're daft prices right now, we could sell our van we've had for 6 years for the same price we bought it, though we then couldn't afford to replace it!

It's not in the dealers interest for prices to drop so would have to filter through to them. The ones I've noticed are either private sales or motorhome depot ones.
A couple of examples.

Our local dealers looks like an empty car park where there’s usually well over a hundred mohos and caravans.

There's lots of talk in the financial world that folk are now very reluctant to splash-out on high ticket items. The next few weeks will provide us with a few economic indicators.

Opinion only, I think this “bubble” of ridiculous ACHIEVED prices is almost done
If you are thinking of giving up…….do it now
If you need to replace…..sell it now and hibernate for winter

Here’s hoping they come down a lot back to normal levels by next spring, at the moment the market looks like their pulling vans out of scrap yards and putting 20k price tags on them….
