Anyone know if you can adjust the inertia settings on a front (3 point) seat belt ? Both our front seats belts are really sensitive and if you need to lean slightly forwards or reach for anything then you have to move at sloth speed or it just locks up, takes me several minutes to reach my cuppa some timesšŸ˜‚

I suggest that the slight inconvenience you experience from your belt pales into insignificance to that you may experience if you have an accident after altering their sensitivity - if that is at all possible.

Yup i concur, toll booths means seat belt off then back on afterwards. If they were any more sensitive then breathing would have to be optional
Lateral thinking.

A tag is what you need for toll booths. It won't help with the seat belts but you won't need to worry about moving from your seat other than a quiet exhale of breath when you hear the beep as the tag opens the barrier. :)

We have the same problem, another problem is the seatbelt sits across my throat as Iā€™m a short soul, Iā€™m looking for something to change the angle of the belt.

We used something like this in the trucks in work. They were standard in the Mercedes trucks. You could remove some of the tension, but they're not so tight as to stop the seatbelt functioning

A lot of seatbelts where they're fitted to the door pillars are height adjustable by sliding them up or down on the door pillar.

Yes we have for France, but Italy is a bit more complex but trying to source a Telepass via our local AA equivalent, seems to be possible. But youā€™re right, that beep and sailing through gives you a ā€œfirst classā€ feelingšŸ˜ƒ

What about one of these, obviously you need to be careful how much adjustment you do so it doesnā€™t interfere with the safe travel of the belt

Number 1

Number 2

we use the second one on ours, also belt on seat and it cushions it around your neck area

try pulling out the slack with the other hand slowly before you want to move.
me, if they were that sensitive then I'd pull out slack & peg it at the top guide for ease of use.

Hi folks. We have ā€œCaptainsā€œ seats with the belt built in. We are both tall, and fing the position of the top mounting too low, so that there is a pull on the shoulder. Over a long trip it is really uncomfortable. I was looking into raising the mounting but as the boss said, we could find insurance becomes invalid if we have messed about with it. I use the clips that grip the belt to stop it pulling back, but they are a pest.

Seatbelt reels should be level, you can only check accurately if the vehicle is also level , do not set the reel off level as when unfortunately when you need them to work they may not !!I have fitted loads when we had to drill the door pillars and the floor tunnels , before fixings came out ( just showing my age !!)šŸ˜Ž

The near side seat belt in my Landrover 90 locked if you sneezed making traveling on anything but smooth roads uncomfortable for management. Due her being short it rubbed her neck.
I fitted a device that held the belt slightly slack as per the EBay device. My mates solution was to fit a Bulldog clip to the seat belt. Not exactly MOT approved.

You can't is the short answer. It's a ball bearing inside. It rolls forward as you brake, and when you reel it out fast.
When doing our conversion, I fitted a set of belts for the rear seats. The reel being bolted to a welded plate on the chassis. If the angle of the reel is slightly off, it locks up all the time.
It's possible they've got it tilted forwards slightly, but if it's on factory mounts and a location pin, it is what it is.
