Anyone tried these? We carry 2 longboard surfboards which are slightly too long to fit into our garage so for now are carried inside at the back. It would be great to get these onto the roof so I was thinking of these sucker based bars and a telescopic ladder as an alternative to a normal ladder/roof bar setup.

Is there anything particular about a moho roof which means it wouldn’t work? How well bonded is the top plastic layer to the main roof?

I've used Seasuckers to carry bikes of the top of a coupe which couldn't take roofbars. They are excellent although a little expensive.

I'd suggest you check the roof construction as on my Autotrail it felt like to top layer was loose and not bonded to the substrate (although knowing AT, that could just be poor workmanship lol) but I'd imagine there would be some considerable upward force that would put a lot of stress on a roof like that with Seasuckers
