I've discovered an old repair on the shower room/toilet window which I'm going to re-repair before it becomes a problem. There is some slight damage to the window surround wood but not enough to warrant a full replacement.

I've removed the window and rubber seal, both of which look in good enough nick. I've rigorously damp tested the internal area surrounding the window and the readings are well within acceptable.

I'm just looking for a recommendation for what brand/type of sealant to use to seal the rubber seal inside and out. I have bathrooms silicon for the inside but don't want to use that on any exterior parts.

Thanks in advance.

silicon sealant has no useful use sealing a motorhome. the rubber is bedded onto tape type mastic, available from w4 in a variety of widths. a waterproof seal needs sikaflex or at half the cost puraflex40 from toolstation

A, perfect. I knew I saw something about Toolstation recently on here but couldn't remember where. I'll get some of that tomorrow.

Picking up the PVCu cleaner and Puraflex40 from Toolstation today. Couldn't get the Mastic tape locally so ordered it from Amazon. Should be here by the weekend. I just hope the weather and the bin liners covering the widow space hold until then::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Thanks again for the advice.
