The windscreen rain scuttle drain on our Peugeot Boxer based van runs into a a pipe that runs down from the driver's of the windscreen (RHD) to the driver's side wheel. When I was clearing this out after the summer, I noticed that it was blocked with leaves but more importantly, the plastic tube itself was brittle and split and the jubilee clip at the top was barely holding the drain tube in place.
Replacing this down tube should be a simple task but I wondered what sort of tubing would be best. The fitted one is brittle and and would break, I imagine as soon as it gets really cold. Suggestions of suitable tubing and where to get it would be most welcome.
Thanks again.

Edit:I know I can buy a designed part as in the attached link but I baulk at the ridiculous price for essentially, a bit of tubing.

If you search techno posts he did a whole thing on it . I personally used food grade plastic pipes as replacements.

Thanks I will check mine out. If i need to replace them I will start at B&Q then the local fish tank supplier Aquatic shop

Thanks. Am following Techno's thread. May be some time........

Just another way of addressing the issue. Have been thinking about this for some times as we have lots of leaves dropping this time of year. Our Lime tree decided to start dropping the main leaves in earnest about three weeks ago ( it drops all sorts almost from leaves appearing - a great tree, but it’s sooty mould is really annoying ( tree preservation order on all the trees before the suggestions come in )).
Talking through options SWMBO suggested packing a pair of tights with thin wadding you would put in a patchwork quilt. We did this, and for three weeks before we went away for a couple of days Thursday and Friday night, it was in. Thursday morning I did have to remove all the leaves resting on top of it, but once removed nothing wedged down the three drain holes. I would have spent much longer clearing them out without having the tights solution in place.
A cheap, quick to assemble and install, solution for me. There will be others, maybe even cheaper.
if it’s any help, here are photos in situ....

If you live in a rural area go to your local dairy suppliers, they carry a wealth of tubing in all sizes as well as a great range of hardware.

aquarium shop for my tubing, much cheaper. Or cut lengths of garden hose. Plunge the end of the hose in really hot water for 30 seconds before fitting as it becomes super easy with less chance of cracking the plastic fittings
