For a bit of FUN, this link shows where the Scottish road gritters are located (not necessarily working). Some people have sort of 'adopted' their local gritters which all have names, like Sprinkles, Buster, Winter Explorer,Snowball, Gritty Gritty Bang Bang, Sir Andy Flurry, Snow Destroyer, Luke Snowalker, Ready Spready and my favourite Gansta Granny Gritter!

My experience of living in Edinburgh and making our way south to North Wales. They, the Scottish gritters were on the ball. Very much not letting snow impinge on day to day life.
