I purchased a Pilote G740 couple of months ago.

The control panel is flashing red on 11.5 volts for cab battery but cab battery is 12.42 volts. Rather than taken it back to the dealer which is a long drive they have agreed for me to have a local engineer out.

He can’t seem to identify the problem. The dealer has sent a new EBL 271 box but hasn’t fixed the issue. The voltage from box to panel is showing 11.3volts but voltage going into box is 12.42 volts.
Hope I’ve described this ok. Im with the engineer now!
Any help greatly appreciated

I know it sounds a bit off-piste, but have you checked the 20A fuse near the starter battery? It supplies the fridge 12V element, but is also used by the EBL to measure the starter battery voltage. There are usually two fuses - 50A and 20A - near the starter battery. If that 20A fuse blows, the fridge doesn't work from 12V when the engine is running. I guess if you're fighting with the EBL you haven't got to the stage of trying that yet.

Hi
Thanks for the feed back it’s much appreciated but the issue (we think) is now solved.
After a lot of head scratching it seems it was a 5 pin relay switch that had burnt out!
No idea what that means but engineer is convinced that this was the issue. New one ordered let’s hope it solves the issue!
Thanks
