Back motorhoming after a 6ish year break!
Hi all

We are headed to the Alpes to Bourg Saint Maurice in April. We have 2 weeks and are booked onto a site for 7 days in the middle.

We'd like to take the non toll route down there as we have a few days to get there and we can do some exploring. We've done the straight run many times before but we've been stuck to a week so it's been literally there and back.

We were thinking Belgium, Luxembourg that way on. Any recommendations for things to see/do on the way down please or any tried and tested routes?

Thanks! ⛷️

Hi

Im not sure if this helps but we are heading down to Austrian Alps in late March and staying for 4 days at the campsite in Langenfeld Austria.
All being well ill have a few days skiing in either Solden or Obergurgl.
Planned route from P&o Ferry.
Across into Germany and staying 1 night in Andernach Stellplatz then onto the Stellplatz at Nesselwang which sits at the bottom of a Ski run. 1 Day/night skiing.
Nesselwang to Langenfeld for 4 nights.
Back to Fussen on Friday to see Neuschwanstein Castle and VET then head north for another 1-night stay before returning on Sunday. Back up the long road to Edinburgh.

Cascades du Herrison, you can stop by Lac D'Ilay overnight but park at the North end so you dont have to pay for parking. Lac de Vouglans is worth passing as well whilst in the area

Dole while youre there is a lovely town as is Lons le Sonier
Metz is lovely but the aire is not something to write home about
Dudelange is always a good overnight stop and train straight into Luxembourg town, or go to Remich alongside the Moselle
Peruvelz is a good overnighter but plenty in Belgium, specifically in the Ardennes around Bouillon
