Sattelite Ty program guide

Avtex telly works fine on oyster sattelite dish but I can’t get program guide it just says “no information” so I can’t record.

We have a similar setup and the TV guide rarely drops in. It sometimes populates the channels you visit but not always, nor for very long on the timeline. I don't record, but I feel your pain. Annoying and sorry, all I can do is offer you solidarity. I will watch this thread for a solution as well.

We gave up on the TV built-in free to air tuner as it was very slow \ failed on occasions to load and got an external free sat receiver instead (Manhattan SX).
Far superior EPG but you do lose some (minimal) channels.

The Avtex will only give Now/Next on Satellite because Avtex have not paid for a Freesat Guide licence. One of the many reasons they can be described as overpriced rubbish. From memory because I threw my Avtex away it is possible to manually set up a recording of Freesat but is a faff to do.
