Following a successful scan of Astra 28 with a new decoder whilst in the Dordogne I programmed numerous favourites. However, on a recent trip to Perpignan I found that whilst in Perpignan none of the favourites worked any more. They had all retained their channel numbers but on accessing each favourite a completely new channel appeared and I had to reload all favourites again. Is this normal. Does the decoder have to be reprogrammed whenever I'm in a different region?

All I can think of is a change of the transponder frequencies, between the initial scanning and storing of your favourites, and viewing again weeks or months later. I had a similar problem with a built in FTA receiver, and I had to rescan and edit the channel numbers again.

Maybe Satandpcguy may be able to explain better.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Agree with Jock 100%......regional differences make no difference to what you are experiencing, Astra remains where its orbiting, a re-scan should sort it, but depending on dish size you might be getting close to less available programs, due to the footprint.....minor LNB adjustments may be required too....Satandpcguy is the one to ask..

Hi I’m new on here so hope this makes sense 🤷🏻‍♂️. I have just bought a 2004 fiat Ducati and it has a dome camos satallite the box inside the lights keep flashing red /green and a yellow ? . I don’t know if the dish is turning to search and it’s say no channels found but when I took off the dome it got a signal but all in German 🤦 . Can any one help please 👍
