Hi searched for this topic but could not find any threads.
We are planning 2 trips next year one to Italy and Portugal.
Has any one got any reccomendations fit what sat nav to avoid fines in congestion/clean air zones.

That's an interesting question. I haven't come across a newer satnav that claims to include this avoidance feature.

My Garmin Camper does avoid roads with weight or width restrictions, directs me along HGV diversions in France, and even warns me if I am on a restricted road, if programmed with a vehicle weight above 3500Kg.

The other thing I have encountered is temporary lower speed limits on some motorways due to high pollution levels (e.g. Belgium) but I don't think satnavs include those. Not what you want to see if you are rushing to catch a ferry.

Google maps now include a warning if your route includes the London ultra low emission zone (inside the north and south circular) so maybe it will include European ones at some point 👍

Waze will show then in the UK, guess it will work in Europe too.

Having inadvertently driven into Aachen without realising it was an Umwelt Zone I downloaded a list of them and put green blobs in my map book and also on Autoroute, which I use for planning. It’s not a great help for the satnav but it makes me aware that some manual alterations may be needed.

I wrote to TomTom a few years ago asking if these could be included but didn’t get a response.

Try sticking them on the screen, then when you get there they'll be in the right place.
